Shiplake Village Bowling Club

Bowling is for all ages. It can be family fun, a social activity, or a competitive sport – it’s what you make it. It provides friendship and an absorbing pastime that provides plenty of exercise in the fresh air. Free instruction is available for new bowlers from our qualified coach. The rudiments of bowling can be grasped in just a few sessions.
There is a full programme throughout the season (late April to late September) against other bowls clubs in the area. Some matches are friendlies, others are league games. The club is open every afternoon and evening except when there is a home match. Members can have a roll up (practice) or complete a round of one of the club competitions. Best of all, what nicer way to finish the day than sitting on the patio with a drink from our reasonably priced bar.
The club also runs a programme of events in the club house throughout the winter.
