Shiplake Parish Council (SPC) is a public authority. Its procedures for compliance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 2018 are set out in this Privacy Policy.
The Privacy Policy relates to information which is obtained by SPC and for which SPC is the Data Controller. It sets out how SPC uses and protects any information that you give to SPC when you use its website. SPC is committed to ensuring your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using the website, you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.
SPC may change this policy from time to time and we will contact users to let them know of any substantive changes.

The information you provide (personal information such as name, address, email address, phone number, organisation) will be processed and stored so that it is possible to contact you and respond to your correspondence, to provide information, where appropriate, to other public authorities and to enable you to access our facilities and services. Information Security
SPC is aware of the need to ensure the security of personal data. We make sure that your
information is protected from unauthorised access, loss, manipulation, falsification, destruction or unauthorised disclosure. This is done through appropriate technical measures and appropriate policies.
We will only keep your data for the purpose for which it was collected and only for as long as is necessary, after which it will be deleted.
Children
We will not process any data relating to a child under 13 without the express consent of the child’s parent or guardian.

We do not use profiling, we do not sell or pass your data to third parties. We do not use your data for purposes other than those specified in this Privacy Policy. We make sure your data is stored securely. We delete all information deemed to be no longer necessary. We constantly review our privacy policy to keep it up to date in protecting your data.
