The TFAG Steering Group, which has regular virtual meetings (usually weekly or more) and is currently made up of five members plus half a dozen or so other residents whom are assisting on an ad-hoc basis :

Working in Partnership with the PC
TFAG has discussed its objectives and initiatives with Shiplake Parish Council, providing updates via TFAG’s minutes of its meetings and implementing an appropriate governance process for its engagement with the council. Liaising with TFAG, the council has commissioned technical consultants (JBA) to undertake an assessment of TW’s proposed drainage solution(s), including scrutiny of the Flood Risk Assessment (FRA)
How we will update the Community
TFAG issues regular updates via email to its signed-up supporters and liaises with The Shiplake Parish Council regularly
We plan to keep the Shiplake Villages website fully updated with actions and developments updating this on a monthly basis or more often if matters are moving swiftly. We will also use the Forum pages of the website for instant updating/provision of information, so do please register at the website and for Forum notifications (which are optional).
The Steering Group welcomes any input from Shiplake residents and supporters and is happy to answer any questions or queries via email. Please provide contact details when writing.

What TFAG needs from the Shiplake Community.
The response from the community to date has been superb.
To keep the issue at the forefront of the agencies concerned and also at Taylor Wimpey, TFAG needs engagement from the community on a number of levels.
This has to stay current so that SODC realise that the community will not get tired and fade away. The only way to do this is with continued activity as follows:-
- Continue writing letters of objection and concern to SODC, Oxfordshire County Council, The Environment Agency and Thames Water in particular.
- Representations to Taylor Wimpey at Mail to Taylor Wimpey
- Write to the Henley Standard and other media outlets and John Howell MP.
- Use social media and make the case regarding flooding issues and environmental damage.
- Follow us on Twitter!
- Register on the TFAG database to receive direct updates. Support TFAG
- Register at Shiplake Website to get regular website updates
- Ensure you ‘opt-in’ for Forum notifications
- Sign the petition at Thames Farm Petition
- Contribute to the fighting fund as below
Contributing to the Fighting Fund
70 households out of 170 that initially indicated that they would contribute have transferred money to the TFAG account to date, together with direct financial support from the Parish Council.
TFAG is spending money now on legal advice and preparing for the Taylor Wimpey Flood Assessment Report.
We have to be prepared for a legal fight and need the money to be available so that we can move quickly if necessary.
All contributions will be acknowledged and any money not spent at the end of the campaign will be returned pro-rata. The account is held jointly in the name of 4 members of the Steering Group and for security reasons, all withdrawals require 3 signatures.
