Our beautiful church serves the needs of a thriving and friendly community, drawn from Shiplake and the surrounding areas. Everyone is very welcome indeed – all ages and stages, regulars, newcomers and visitors – and we look forward to seeing you.

We offer lots of different service types, including Holy Communion, Family services, Lay-led and benefice (where we join with Dunsden and Harpsden churches) as well as fellowship, study groups and events, baptisms, weddings, funerals and pastoral care.

You will find information on all of these on our website  www.achurchnearyou.com/Shiplake-Dunsden-Harpsden  or our weekly email newsletter (details below).

We are also a well-known bell ringing centre (more details on the Shiplake Bell Ringers page), with hand chimes, hand bells and tower bells, with weekly practices.

Do you know that we have a beautiful 11th Century Parish Church in Shiplake with a fascinating history? Its attributes include wonderful mediaeval stained glass windows purchased in 1828 from an Abbey in St Omer in France.

An illustrated brochure has been prepared describing its history, artefacts, monuments and its evolution from mediaeval times to the present day.

Copies, price £3, are available by the font at the south door of the church, or from Tim Woods Ballard 0118 940 1342, 29 Baskerville Lane, Lower Shiplake RG9 3JY.
